Can I work on my own vehicle here?
Of course! That is the point. This a place for a car enthusiast to work on the projects they have always wanted to. We know everyone doesn’t have a fully equipped, heated garage in their backyard. Hoist House is providing you the space and equipment you need.
What if I don’t Know how to operate a vehicle hoist?
No worries! Our shop rule is Hoist House Staff are the only members allowed to operate the hoists. You will pull your car into the bay (or we can for you), then we will set the hoist arms and lift your vehicle. When you need to go up or down, just let one of the staff members know and they will operate the hoist for you.
What if MY project Goes Long?
We are real car guys here at the shop. Therefore, we know projects don’t always go as planned. If you were only planning a couple hours, but it turns into a full day, that is okay. We wait until the end of the project to determine which rate is cheapest for you (hourly, daily, or weekly rate). If you need to come back the next day, we offer free overnight storage for your project. If you need to come back in week, we can offer you a low weekly storage rate (indoor or outdoor based on project and budget). We will help make a plan that works for you.

Do I need to bring my own tools?
No! We have tools for you. But you are still welcome to bring your own. Tool access is included in your rental. Be sure to check our tool list (link above) to make sure we have what your project needs. If we don’t, then let us know and we will look into getting it.
I am buying (or selling) a car. Can I bring it here to inspect on a hoist.
Sure! You can rent a hoist for an hour to properly investigate any vehicle you are buying or selling.
Can I detail my Car there?
Yes! Customers can rent flat bays to detail (exterior, interior, engine bay). At this time we don’t have an indoor wash bay, but you can do an outdoor wash (pressure washer provided) then bring into the flat bay for waxing, buffing, clay bar, etc.
I don’t really work on my vehicle, but I am looking for nice storage. Can I just store my vehicle here?
Yes! You don’t have to be a DIY’er to be part of the Hoist House community. If you want a nice and safe place to store your vehicle, then we have you have covered. And if you ever do want to get your vehicle on hoist for inspection or basic maintenance, storage members get discounted bay rental.
